Minsk region offers Ukraine to implement projects in pharmaceuticals and reforestation

The Minsk region offers Ukraine to implement joint projects in the pharmaceutical sector and reforestation, said Anatoly Isachenko, chairman of the Minsk Oblast Executive Committee, at a plenary meeting of the II Forum of the Regions of Belarus and Ukraine, BelTA has learned.

Anatoly Isachenko considers it important to establish and develop reliable cooperative ties between Belarusian and Ukrainian enterprises, and develop joint projects. "For example, in the region there are more than 10 pharmaceutical enterprises of various forms of ownership. We can establish joint production of medicines. A project for growing planting material for forest restoration would be very promising. I think this problem in Ukraine is no less relevant than ours", - he said.

According to the chairman of the Minsk Oblast Executive Committee, experience has been gained on cooperation in mutual investment. In the first half of the year, enterprises of the Minsk region invested $ 47 million in the regions of Ukraine, which is 2 times more than in the same period of 2018. There are 177 companies with a share of Ukrainian capital in the region. One of the last successful projects is an enterprise in the Old Roads for the production of brake pads for the joint-stock company BelAZ.

Excellent conditions have been created for the investment in the Minsk region, Anatoly Isachenko is sure. He cited the Sino-Belarusian Industrial Park as an example; its residents are provided with benefits that have no analogues in Europe and Asia. Significant preferences exist for residents of the Minsk free economic zone.

Great prospects, according to the chairman of the Minsk Oblast Executive Committee, in the field of education and science. The forum in Zhitomir should open new horizons for cooperation between the regions of the two countries.
